The PE Operating Associate will work in close partnership with the leadership teams of the portfolio companies, where he/she could be seconded, acting as an accelerator of all the VCP initiatives (top line, cost, cash, M&A) and steering them to fast and effective execution.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Create transparency and visibility on progress of each initiative
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and teams, act as a first escalation level in resolving critical issues and manage further escalation whenever needed
• Provide initiative owners with challenge and support, helping them deliver the targeted results
• Support the creation of a fully data-driven organization, enabling fact-based and well-informed decision making
• Provide consistency to internal discussions and BoD updates
• Support the selection and management of external advisors
• Support CEO and CFO in identifying and evaluating M&A targets (and JV opportunities), lead due diligence and act as integration PMO of acquired targets
Qualifications and experience:
• Degree in engineering/economics/management
• MBA
• Fluency in English, other languages are a plus
• Tier-1 management consulting experience (4-7 years), ideally with exposure to multiple industries/contexts (PE exposure is a plus) or experience in relevant professional services
• Corporate experience (4-7 years), better if gained in international contexts and covering high-impact roles
• M&A experience is a plus, as is solid understanding of cash generation drivers and value creation levers in the context of PE/financial investments
• Prior CTO experience in portfolio companies controlled by (tier-1) PE funds is a superior plus
