The CTO will support the CEO, CFO and PE team in the design, prioritization and planning of the top strategic initiatives and of the business plan, ensuring initiatives are fully implemented on time and steering them to fast and effective execution. The CTO will report to the Group CEO.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Create transparency and visibility on progress of each initiative, managing the CEO’s (and BoD’) expectations and enabling timely and informed decision making
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and teams, act as a first escalation level in resolving critical issues and manage further escalation whenever needed
• Provide the initiative owners with challenge and support, helping them deliver the targeted results
• Support the CFO in creating a fully data-driven organization, enabling fact-based and well-informed decision making
• Support the selection and management of key external advisors
• Support the CEO and CFO in identifying and evaluating M&A targets (and JV opportunities), conduct due diligence and deal execution, and coordinate the integration of acquired targets
• Act as a direct point of contact for the shareholder
Qualifications and experience:
• Degree in engineering/economics/management, MBA is a strong plus
• Fluency in Italian and English
• Management consulting experience in tier-1 firms (4-7 years), ideally with exposure to multiple industries/contexts (PE exposure is a plus) or experience in other relevant and high level professional services firm
• Corporate experience (4-7 years), better if gained in international contexts and covering roles important to the organization (business development, finance and control, operational excellence, sales and marketing, service etc.)
• M&A experience is a strong plus, as is solid understanding of cash generation drivers and value creation levers in the context of PE/financial investments
• Prior CTO experience in portfolio companies controlled by (tier-1) PE funds is a superior plus
