The Chief Executive Officer will be entirely responsible for the company's operations and performance. This role requires extensive knowledge of all the main functions of the business (including operations, sales & marketing, finance and control, organization & HR). The CEO must be able to define and execute the overall strategy of the company leading the organization towards its operational and financial goals.
Main tasks and key responsibilities:
- Set the company strategy and ambition for all business lines; identify opportunities for new business development
- Define clear priorities and objectives to create value by increasing revenues, improving operational efficiency, steer financial planning
- Strengthen and actively lead the organization, build a performance-oriented environment that attracts and retain talents, reinforce company culture and values
- Identify and manage risks (commercial, operational, financial etc.)
- Streamline the main business processes to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency
- Actively manage the relationship and communication with the BoD
- Represent the company towards all third parties (trade unions, banks and other financial stakeholders, public administration and authorities etc.)
Experience and qualifications:
- Rounded experience (minimum 5 years) in a similar (CEO/GM) leadership role
- Robust experience in manufacturing and B2B businesses with material exposure to foreign markets
- Solid business acumen and, demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-evolving business contexts
- Proven experience in managing for cash generation
- Track record in innovation (technology, applications, business model etc.) and identification of new opportunities to expand business and drive profits growth
- Track record in business restructuring and relaunch
- Experience in companies backed by Private Equity funds or other financial investors is a strong plus
- Degree in Engineering or Economics
- Master degree (in particular MBA from recognized business schools) or professional certifications are a plus
- Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of a third language is a plus
