The position leads Finance and Accounting Department for the EMEA Region, leading directly the relevant Function of the Italian organization, which is the biggest entity in the Region, and supervising the activities abroad through local Finance Managers/General Managers.
The position reports hierarchically to the Head of Region and functionally to the CFO of the Division.
Main tasks and key responsibilities:
• Partnering with Business Leaders of the Region to shape the future of the organization
• Responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis, Plant Controlling/Reporting, Accounts Receivable,
Accounts Payable, Credit Department, Company financing
• Ensure Company’s Secretary activities and support to Board of Directors
• Optimize and develop insurance policies in collaboration with Human Resources on the personnel related subjects
• Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information and make
actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
• Provide insight and guidance around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model(s) and
operational delivery
• Lead M&A and other strategic projects
• For the Italian organization and potentially other organizations:
o Manage payments to third parties based on delegation levels
o Supervise the preparatory activities related to the company's financial statements, ensures
that the annual and multi-year forecast financial statements are prepared
o Preside over the preparation of the statutory financial statements and the fulfilment of tax
declarations
o Responsible for legal and accounting topics and those related to customer/supplier contracts, litigation, etc.
o Liaison with financial auditors, legal counsel and regulatory bodies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting (CPA, CFA and/or MBA is preferable)
• Minimum of 10 years of Finance & Controlling experience, including a minimum of 5 years with overall responsibility in a broad financial leadership role, with strong focus on Controlling
• Prior financial role with international manufacturing company
• Detailed knowledge of all aspects of finance, cost accounting and controlling, preferably including IFRS knowledge. At ease with SAP.
• Very strong functional skills, proven leadership experience and strong business acumen
• Strong leadership characteristics, communications skills, people development skills
• High motivation to deliver results, valuing collaboration and team success
